WHAT CAN I EXPECT ON THE DAYS THAT WE MEET?

Tuesdays’ and Thursdays’ Zoom sessions will consist of lectures, mediations, and guided conversations. Saturday and Sunday in-person sessions will consist of physical practices, asana clinics, and practice teaching. Intensive Week will consist of both lectures and physical practice.

WHAT WILL I NEED FOR THE DAYS THAT WE MEET?

Please join your sessions wearing comfortable clothing. Come with both manuals and something to write with. Mats and props will be provided for physical practices.

WHAT IS THE ABSENCE POLICY?

To ensure equitable completion for all students and adherence to Yoga Alliance’s guidelines, students must attend all 200 hours of the program, including lectures and mentor meetings. There is a maximum of 2 absences allowed per program for emergencies only. In the event of an absence, we’re happy to work with you on this to ensure you make up these hours and get any missed information during an unforeseen absence. The program leadership will schedule a makeup session at a rate of $150 per session.

HOW ARE THE 200 HOURS BROKEN DOWN?

There are 200 required hours in the certification- 185 hours are “contact” hours, which are scheduled and hosted live via Zoom and in-studio. The remaining 15 hours are “non-contact” hours, which can be completed on your own, as long as you keep up with the weekly workload, attendance, homework and required classes.

WHAT MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR TEACHER TRAINING?

You will receive two electronic manuals. They are in printable format if you would like to print these on your own. We also provide additional recommended reading material, which can be purchased as books, audio, etc. at your discretion.
